Beg our pardon

In honour of Yom Kippur, K&K begins its annual atonement series, begging forgiveness for past sins, errors in judgment and despicable acts.

In the past few weeks, neighbours in our building have had a series of tremendously loud and somewhat entertaining arguments. The constantly angry girlfriend has one of the foulest mouths we’ve heard and drops more f-bombs than Joe Pesci in Goodfellas. And from what we can gather, she is none-too-pleased with her boyfriend who apparently sits around the house all day smoking pot and playing games. Lately, we’ve used our iPhone to record their nightly arguments, which we can hear clearly through the heating vent in our apartment when we lie on the kitchen floor. Then we replay these recordings for our friends, family members and co-workers, who are always shocked by how nasty the arguments sound.

Sorry, neighbours, for invading your privacy and recording your mind-numbingly dumb fights and then replaying them for people. Also, sorry for wishing your arguments had more “substance” to them so that we’d find them more entertaining instead of increasingly tiresome.
